Ki-Chan Kim is a Business School Professor at the Catholic University of Korea and the International Chancellor at President University. He is also the incoming Chairman (2023 - 2024) of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).


Within academia, Professor Kim imparts his extensive knowledge through a range of MBA tracks, including Humane Entrepreneurship, Platform Strategy, and Korea Management (K-Management). Previously, he served as the Vice-Chancellor and the Dean of the Business School, demonstrating his commitment to academic leadership.


In addition to his academic pursuits, he serves as the Chairman of the Korea Testing Certification and is a Partner at the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation. Notably, he has held several appointed positions, including Chairman of the Innovation Economy Division at the National Economic Advisory Council (NERC) for the President of South Korea, as well as serving on the committee of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences (NRC). He has also held the role of President (2015 - 2016) of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).


Professor Kim has provided guidance to numerous startups, SMEs, and renowned enterprises such as Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motors. Continuously serving as their advisor, he strives to assist these companies in developing sustainable business models and ecosystems. Professor Kim firmly believes that fostering the right Humane Entrepreneurship model within organizations attracts the most qualified workers and ensures long-term success in the industry.


Professor Kim's contributions have earned him numerous accolades and recognition. He has been honored with the esteemed Best Paper Award from the Korea Management Association and the prestigious Maekyung Paper Award from the Maeil Business Newspaper. Notably, his recent publication, "The Joy of Innovation (2019)," has been selected as the National Book Award of South Korea, King Sejong Book Collection 2020. This book underlines the importance of innovation in maintaining competitiveness in a volatile market while adhering to principles of Humane Entrepreneurship.
